Access control, meeting room and lobby displays for offices and industrial parks

Offices, buildings and industrial parks use face recognition terminals on doors and turnstiles, attendance terminals for staff, interactive panels in meeting rooms, smart lockers for staff belongings and video walls in lobbies and control rooms. DisplaySourcing builds its terminals around a binocular camera with infrared liveness that identifies a face in 0.34 seconds and connects to door locks, speed gates and turnstiles.

Offices, buildings & industrial parks

What offices, buildings & industrial parks need from the hardware

  • Fast identification at the morning peak that rejects photos and screens
  • Links to turnstiles, door locks, visitor and HR systems
  • Several credentials: face, IC/ID card, QR code, fingerprint
  • Meeting rooms with writing, screen casting and video conferencing
  • Secure storage for staff phones and bags on factory floors

What to tell the factory when you ask for a quote

  1. Number of entrances, and gate type and brand
  2. Headcount, including contractors and visitors
  3. Credentials: face, card type, QR, fingerprint
  4. Access, HR or visitor system and its protocol
  5. Meeting rooms: count and panel sizes
  6. Locker locations and compartment layout

Entrances: match the terminal to the gate

A face recognition terminal verifies a person at a door or gate and sends the open signal to the lock or turnstile. Pick the form factor by where it mounts:

  • Lobby speed gates: the 8″ terminal on a turnstile bracket or pole, one per lane
  • Office and lab doors: the slim portrait panel mounted on the door frame
  • Reception and security desks: the desktop terminal, with QR scanning for visitor passes

The binocular camera with infrared liveness checks that a real face, not a photo or a phone screen, is in front of it. 11,000 faces are stored on the device, so gates keep working if the network drops. If your headcount including contractors is close to that number, raise it at the quote stage. The terminals are rated for −20 °C to 40 °C; tell us if a gate stands outdoors in a hotter or colder climate.

Attendance and system integration

For staff time records, the attendance terminal takes face, card or fingerprint, shows the name on success, stores records offline and generates reports. Most projects stand or fall on integration with the existing access-control, HR or visitor system. Firmware and protocols are customized per project, so send the system name and protocol with the inquiry. See the face recognition terminal range for all four models, and OEM vs ODM if you want the terminal under your own brand.

Meeting rooms

An interactive flat panel replaces the projector, whiteboard and conference screen. Specify 55″–100″ by room size, the dual system if staff need Windows applications, and a camera and microphone array for video calls. Outside the room, 7.5″ double-sided three-color e-ink table signs show names and meeting details, updated in batches from a phone or PC over Wi-Fi.

Lobbies, control rooms and lockers

Building lobbies and park control rooms use LCD splicing walls with 0.88, 1.8 or 3.5 mm bezels; the video wall guide explains which to choose. Elevator lobbies take wall-mount signage for notices. On factory floors, face-recognition lockers keep phones and bags out of production areas, with compartment sizes and count drawn with you before production.

LCD video walls in industrial parks and office buildings, such as the Hejia industrial park in Yunxi, Hubei and the Mianyang incubator building, are on our projects page.

Frequently asked questions

How fast is face recognition at the gate?

Our 8″ terminal identifies a face in 0.34 seconds with a false-accept rate below 0.01%, using a binocular camera with infrared live detection.

Does the terminal work with our turnstiles?

Yes. The terminals connect to door locks, speed gates and turnstiles and mount on a turnstile bracket, pole, wall or desk. Tell us the gate brand and we confirm the wiring and protocol.

Does attendance still record if the network is down?

Yes. The attendance terminal supports offline attendance, keeps the records on the device and generates reports automatically.

Can a printed photo fool the terminal?

The binocular camera with infrared live detection checks for a real face, which is how it rejects printed photos and images on phone screens.
